claims management
Early intervention and proactive case management can significantly reduce your premium. WorkCover indicates that late reporting of claims alone can impact costs as high as 13%. We will work with your insurer to manage the process, ensure all compliance issues are met and assist with reimbursements.
claim review service
We conduct claim reviews of your premiums, and negotiate with the insurer to organise legal and legitimate reductions. Insurers use a worst case scenario when estimating claims prior to renewal. We supply sound evidence and plans so the insurer is able to reduce those estimates to reflect the most likely outcome.
policy
OTIC assists with preparation, compliance and, if required, periodical review of the Return to Work Program and Policy. We can also prepare an injury management policy and procedure with flow charts for easy reference for your staff.
ergonomic assessments
These are carried out in small groups with each participant identifying the best layout for their own working space, making modifications and identifying poor working practices. Information is then posted on your intranet, or a hard copy supplied for future reference.
training

accident investigation
We attend worksites where injuries or incidents have occurred and in liaison with the OHS provider and management ensure a thorough investigation is carried out in order to avoid or eliminate further incidents.
We will document the circumstances, including photographic evidence that led to the incident. This information is used to establish liability. This may lead to a recovery from a third party for costs associated with a claim due to their negligence.
pre employment
We assist in the setting up and administration of a pre-employment policy and initial health assessment screening for potential employees as part of your overall employment strategy.
hr services
We recognise that there is significant cross-over between Human Relations issues and Workers Compensation and can provide services to assist you in dealing with Human Relations impacts when it comes to workers compensation issues in the organization. Specifically:
- Liaising with the business and solicitors to reduce any impacts on the case as a result of business processes and activities, including IR issues.
- Setting up and managing pre-employment medical screening
- Addressing any injuries in light of minimising the risk for business
- Developing policy and procedure around injury management.
